Previous page Next page Soft As a Lamb Buttery Smooth Comfort Merino's softness is due to its smaller natural fibers that hold microscopic cortices of air, securing body heat and providing amazing comfort to the wearer. These fibers bend easily when in contact with the skin and have a smooth surface, eliminating the prickly sensation most wool has, leading to a supple and luxuriously soft feel. Wool That Works Hard Ultimate Performance Merino's natural wicking abilities are extraordinary, thanks to its unique fiber structure that absorbs tons of moisture vapor, keeping the wearer dry and comfortable. As these fibers release absorbed into the air around the wearer, it prevents a buildup of sweat on the skin, ensuring a cool and refreshed wear. Naturally Odor Fighting Stink Free, Plastic Free Merino keeps you fresher for longer with natural fibers that don't retain odors like plastic synthetics do. By wicking away moisture, merino reduces the areas that create odor and make you stink. It also has other natural stink-fighting properties, further helping to erase unpleasant scents. Less breathable synthetics harbor sweat and odor. Naturally Temperature Regulating 4-Season Comfort Merino is excellent at regulating body temperature, especially when worn against the skin. The wool provides warmth, without overheating the wearer. Merino wool effectively locks in your body heat when it's cold, thanks to its fine fibers. But it also keeps you cool in warmer weather by expelling extra heat and sweat - a true natural temperature regulator. To keep plastic out of our oceans, ecosystems, and even our own bodies we must reduce the amount we use. Not to mention less breathable synthetics in clothing harbor sweat and odor. That's why we love Merino as a foundation fabric and develop innovative versitle products. You get all the performance of synthetics, without the plastic, and reduce the impact on our world. All-Season Versatility Why Merino Wool? Ask around. You'll find that nothing matches the comfort, performance, and versatility of merino. Merino wool outperforms when it comes to running, hiking, skiing, cycling - anything that makes you sweat. Plus merino looks and feels amazing at home, in that marathon meeting, or on your commute. The result of centuries of sustainable farming, merino sheep keep warm in cold weather and cool in hot weather thanks to their unique wool. And now ewe can too!

Women's Merino Wool Flexible Odor-Fighting Pocket Leggings (black, large) I'm really pleased with these leggings. The look and feel is athletic legging, none of that olde-timey woolen underwear vibe of some wool leggings (don't get me wrong; I can get on board with those, too--I love wool). They even manage the lightweight/semi-sheer inset common in running leggings, a feat in wool. Construction is excellent and the pockets have no problem with my clunky old iphone 7 plus. There are pockets on both sides, so if you're a lefty, you're still covered.I wasn't sure what to expect with a new brand, and I might wear a medium or a large (typically an 8 or a 10) in mass market women's bottoms, depending on the brand. The large was a good fit, but I think I could have gotten away with medium as well. Initially, I was wishing for the smaller size because of my large hips--I have a small waist compared to my hips, so a good fit in the hips can run too loose in the waist, and that is somewhat the case here. But then I discovered that the pants also have a drawstring, which is perfect. Even before I noticed the drawstring (it's inside), I wasn't tugging at them all day or anything; they just felt a little loose around the waist. Straight out of the package, they felt so surprisingly smooth I didn't expect any itch at all. While it's not a problem for me and they are definitely quite soft for wool, there is that mild prickle against bare skin that you get with almost every wool, even the fine stuff. The weight of the fabric is finer and denser than your typical wool legging--similar in appearance and feel to good athletic leggings (comfortably fine, tight knit, well fitted and entirely opaque, except for the side panels, which are more like heavyweight tights). The black is very black. They are warm but not hot, and they are very stretchy and resilient--you don't end up with saggy knees, even after multiple days of wear. And, as advertised, the wool doesn't get stinky in a hurry. I've run in them in cold weather and mild weather and I've been comfortable in both. I'd call them an all-purpose moderate winter/transitional season garment. If you're looking for extreme cold weather leggings, you'll want to go for a different model, because between the lightweight ventilation panels and the overall fineness of the knit, these are not for ultra-cold temps. They come packaged in an attractive heavyweight kraft envelope with a string-and-button closure.
